iFLY Basingstoke is proud to have hosted the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane Cllr Paul Miller and his wife, Sandra, for an Indoor Skydiving experience. A great time was had by the Mayor and the Mayoress.
Of his experience, the Mayor said:
The Mayor and Mayoress were invited to a test flight session at the iFLY facility located in the Basingstoke Leisure Park. The whole experience was amazing and was conducted very professionally by all the staff and especially our instructor Harry. He took us through a thorough briefing session and then guided both of us through our flight experience in the vertical tunnel. It was truly exciting and something we will both remember for a long time.
The daredevil mayor will take part in a charity skydive this 8th of October, and he visited iFLY to practice his form. The skydive is part of the Mayor’s 2022/2023 Charity Appeal to raise money for Tough Enough to Care and The Pink Place.
The charity skydive will be the adrenaline-fueled 77-year old’s first. As an ex-RAF pilot with over 400 hours of flight time under his belt, the Mayor is no stranger to the skies and is very much looking forward to experience the thrill of free-fall while supporting worthy local causes.
