Becoming a Future Indoor Skydiving Instructor

PRE-REQUISITES

The role of a future Indoor Skydiving Instructor requires candidates to meet a minimum level of physical fitness.

This is assessed through a challenging fitness test designed to evaluate a candidate's balance, agility, stamina and strength.

We strongly recommend that candidates review the guidelines below to ensure they are prepared for the selection process. While not exhaustive, the list outlines the types of exercises candidates will be expected to perform:

  • Shuttle runs, including side-shuffles and back pedals
  • Beep Test – 5 rounds completion (approximately 5 minutes)
  • Repeated, weighted (40lb sandbag) knee-to-stand/lunge exercises
  • Repeated, resistance band kneel-to-stand high rows
  • Push-ups
  • 20lb medicine ball – Used for weighted wall ball high throws
